Description
The 2.9inch e-Paper (G) display utilizes electrophoretic E-Ink technology, providing a paper-like visual effect and very low power consumption. The image remains visible even after power is removed, and energy is primarily required only during the refresh process. The passively reflective design has no backlight and requires ambient light, making the module suitable for battery-powered systems and long-term operation.
The panel features a resolution of 296 x 128 pixels and supports four display colors: red, yellow, black, and white. The viewing angle exceeds 170°, ensuring readability from multiple directions. The SPI communication interface in 3-wire or 4-wire mode enables integration with microcontrollers and platforms such as Raspberry Pi, STM32, ESP32, or Arduino. The operating voltage for the raw display version is 3.3 V.
The fast refresh time is 11 s, and the full refresh time is 16 s. A flickering effect occurs during global refresh, which is characteristic of E-Ink technology. The recommended minimum interval between refresh cycles is 180 s, and for image stability it is advised to perform a full refresh at least once every 24 hours. The display is intended for price tags, shelf labels, name badges, information panels, and industrial devices requiring minimal power consumption.
