Description

The ESP32-Ethernet-Kit is an Ethernet-Wi-Fi development board that allows you to connect Ethernet devices via Wi-Fi. It consists of two development boards: Ethernet (A) and PoE (B). Ethernet (A) contains the ESP32-WROVER-E Bluetooth/Wi-Fi module and IP101GRI, a single-port Fast Ethernet 10/100 Transceiver (PHY). The PoE card (B) provides power over Ethernet functionality. Module A can work independently without board B.

The Ethernet module (A) uses the ESP32-WROVER-E module equipped with 64-MB PSRAM memory, providing flexible, extended data storage and processing capabilities. The FT2232H serves as a multi-protocol USB-UART bridge that can be programmed and controlled via USB to provide communication with the ESP32. The FT2232H also has a USB-JTAG interface, which is available on channel A. The USB port provides power to the board and a communication interface between the computer and the board, and the RJ45 connector provides Ethernet communication. In addition, the user has LED diodes, a power button and connectors for connecting additional sensors.

PoE Board (B) is a board that provides the ability to be powered via an Ethernet (PoE) cable. The card has support for IEEE 802.3at and offers an output of 5 V and 1.4 A. To use the PoE functionality, the RJ45 port of the Ethernet card (A) must be connected with an Ethernet cable to a switch supporting PoE. When the Ethernet card (A) detects the 5V output voltage from the PoE card (B), the USB power will be cut off automatically.

The module will be used in projects requiring Ethernet and WiFi communication. Full documentation is available on the product page.
