ESP32-S2-DevKitC-1-N8R2 is an evaluation board designed for developing IoT applications using 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. It features a high-performance microcontroller, large Flash and PSRAM memory, and a wide range of communication interfaces. With an integrated antenna, micro USB connector, and full access to GPIOs, it serves as a versatile tool for embedded system designers, automation engineers, and electronics enthusiasts.
The ESP32-S2-DevKitC-1-N8R2 evaluation board is based on the ESP32-S2-SOLO-2 module with an integrated PCB antenna, 8 MB Flash, and 2 MB PSRAM. It features a Xtensa® LX7 32-bit microcontroller clocked up to 240 MHz, offering high computational performance with low power consumption. Most I/O pins are broken out to header pins on both sides of the board, allowing for easy peripheral connections and breadboard mounting. The board includes two micro USB ports – one for UART communication and the other for USB OTG. It also includes BOOT and RESET buttons, an RGB LED connected to GPIO18, and a 5 V to 3.3 V voltage regulator. With support for multiple communication interfaces and peripheral functions, this board is ideal for IoT and embedded system applications.
