ESP-PROG-2 is a compact tool enabling convenient programming and debugging of ESP systems via UART and JTAG. Thanks to wide compatibility and selectable power supply voltage, it is suitable for working with various development boards, facilitating development and testing of applications in the ESP-IDF environment.
ESP-PROG-2 is a development and diagnostic tool from Espressif, designed for programming and debugging microcontrollers from the ESP family. It enables automatic firmware uploading and UART serial communication in ESP8266, ESP32, ESP32-S2, ESP32-S3 and ESP32-C3 systems. JTAG debugging functions are supported by ESP32, ESP32-S2, ESP32-S3 and ESP32-C3 models.
The device integrates UART and JTAG connectors in 1.27 mm and 2.54 mm standards, selectable supply voltage (3.3 V or 5 V) and two USB interfaces, which are recognized by the computer as separate ports. The JTAG and UART communication signals operate only at 3.3 V level. The board uses the ESP32-S3-MINI-1 module to handle communication and control functions. ESP-PROG-2 enables IO expansion mode operation and integration with development platforms such as ESP-IDF.
