A shield designed to collect data from the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor and transmit it wirelessly using the ESP32-WROOM module. Equipped with a built-in 40 mAh LiPo battery. SparkFun DEV-23387
The MyoWare 2.0 Wireless Shield is an add-on designed to collect data from the MyoWare 2.0 Muscle Sensor and wirelessly transmit it via the ESP32-WROOM module. Equipped with a built-in LiPo battery, the shield allows remote powering of both the muscle sensor and the ESP32. With snap connectors and low-profile pogo pins, the module can be easily mounted directly onto the MyoWare 2.0 sensor. Simply choose the power source and turn the module on to start operating.
The shield features a USB Type-C port and a CH340 USB-serial converter for programming through the Arduino IDE. It also includes a reset button, protection circuits (ESD diodes for USB data lines, PTC fuse), and comes with a 40 mAh LiPo battery that can be charged via the USB-C port. This enables the muscle sensor to operate on battery power and transmit data wirelessly, eliminating the need for a wired power connection.
The module offers additional features such as a 3.3V voltage regulator, switches for selecting the power source and activating the ESP32 bootloader mode, as well as horizontal Qwiic connectors for attaching other devices. The board also includes LED indicators for power, charging status, and user operation, along with circuit activity indicators.
