Transceiver module equipped with SoC ESP8285 IoT. Thanks to the integrated TCP/IP protocol stack, it enables the microcontroller to communicate with WiFi networks. Each ESP8266 module is pre-programmed with the firmware of the AT command set, which means you can send simple text commands to control the device. The SoC features integrated WEP, WPA/WPA2, TKIP, AES and WAPI, can act as an access point with DHCP, connect to existing WiFi networks, and has configurable MAC and IP addresses. The board is equipped with a Grove connector, so it can be used with the Base Shield V2 and Arduino extension. The module communicates via the UART interface and is supplied with the voltage of 3.3 V or 5 V. Full documentation of the module with examples of use is available on the product page.
