Soil moisture sensor with analogue output that performs capacitive measurement. It consists in measuring the capacitance with a capacitor probe that produces an alternating electric field. The probe has a pointed tip, which allows it to be easily inserted into the ground. The analog output voltage level increases in proportion to the ground moisture level. The sensor uses a Grove connector and is supplied with a voltage ranging from 2.5 V to 7 V. It can be used, for example, in automatic watering systems.
