STEMMA Soil Sensor is a capacitive soil humidity sensor with an I2C interface powered by 3-5 volts. The capacitive measurement method uses only one probe, which has no exposed metal, so that it does not oxidize. Measurements are therefore precise and do not change over time. The module uses the ATSAMD10 system, which gives a humidity level reading in the range from about 200 (very dry) to 2000 (very wet) and ambient temperature.
