SenseCAP S2105 - LoRaWAN® Wireless Soil Moisture, Temperature and EC Sensor

Description

The SenseCAP S2105 wireless sensor simultaneously measures three soil parameters: volumetric water content (VWC), temperature, and electrical conductivity (EC). The soil moisture measurement range extends from 0% to 100%, the temperature range from -40°C to 80°C, and the EC range from 0 to 23 dS/m. EC measurement enables monitoring of soil salinity, which affects plant growth, nutrient availability, and microbial activity. The sensor can be used in irrigation systems, greenhouses, gardens, drought monitoring installations, and turf and lawn management.

Data transmission uses the LoRaWAN® v1.0.3 Class A protocol, providing a manufacturer-specified communication range of up to 2 km in urban environments and up to 10 km in line-of-sight conditions. The device supports IN865, EU868, US915, AU915, AS923, KR920, and RU864 frequency plans, while parameter configuration can be performed via Bluetooth® using the SenseCAP Mate app. The IP66-rated enclosure supports outdoor installation, with an operating ambient temperature range from -40°C to 85°C.

Power is supplied by a replaceable 19 Ah ER34615 Li-SOCl2 battery, with a manufacturer-specified service life of up to 10 years depending on the data upload interval, payload size, and communication conditions with the LoRaWAN® gateway. The sensor cable is 5 m long, while the complete device weighs 405 g. SenseCAP S2105 can operate with compatible LoRaWAN® gateways and networks, while SenseCAP Portal and the SenseCAP Mate app provide tools for device management and remote access to measurement data.
