Description
Electro-Fashion: Igloo PICAXE is a wearable and e-textile module that brings programming into your projects. The module allows reading inputs such as buttons and sensors, as well as controlling outputs like LEDs or buzzers, opening unlimited possibilities for creative interaction.
The board features a programmable PICAXE 14M2 chip, an adjustable white LED, a momentary button, a 3.5 mm stereo socket for easy programming, and a JST connector for battery connection. The module can be powered either via the JST connector or sewn conductive wires from a 3–5.5 V source. Thanks to large connection pads for conductive thread or miniature crocodile clips, connections are reliable and easy to assemble. The module offers 6 I/O pins with PWM and analog-to-digital conversion (ADC), and built-in pull-up resistors make it easy to use buttons.
Igloo can be programmed in BASIC, flowcharts, or Blockly, making it suitable for both beginners and advanced users. The module can work with various power sources, including AAA batteries, button cells, or Li-Po batteries. Its compact design makes it discreet and convenient for integration into e-textile projects such as interactive clothing, accessories, or educational gadgets.
