Color sensor equipped with the OPT4048 sensor from Texas Instruments. It allows you to determine the characteristics of ambient light by measuring parameters such as light intensity, color in the CIE XY, LUV coordinate systems, as well as color temperature. The module is equipped with Qwiic connectors. SparkFun SEN-22638
SparkFun Mini Tristimulus Color Sensor is a unique color sensor equipped with the OPT4048 sensor from Texas Instruments. This small module is a perfect solution for measuring colors and light parameters.
The system allows the measurement of four channels with specific spectral responses, which ensures accuracy and precision. Three of the four channels perfectly capture the CIE spectral responses, and the fourth channel has a broadband spectral response. Thanks to measurements from these channels, we can extract important characteristics of ambient light, such as light intensity (lux), color in CIE XY, LUV coordinate systems, as well as color temperature. These are extremely useful functions in applications where precise measurement of lighting parameters is important, such as adjusting display brightness, color temperature correction in cameras, recognizing the color of objects and medical applications.
Compact size module. Thanks to two Qwiic I2C connectors, you can easily connect the module to other devices. You can also use breadboards via connectors with a 2.54 mm pitch. Additionally, we have prepared an Arduino library that makes reading measurements easier. This makes the process of integrating and using the color sensor even easier. SparkFun Qwiic Mini Tristimulus Color Sensor is not only a tool for professionals, but also for hobbyists who want to experiment with color measurements in their projects.
