Module with PIR EKMC4607112K motion sensor, power consumption in standby mode up to 170 uA. The board communicates via I2C and is equipped with a Qwiic connector. SparkFun SEN-17374
A module with a PIR motion sensor equipped with the Panasonic EKMC4607112K chip. It is great for detecting objects in a small area and is optimized for small movements. The sensor does not return distance data, but instead monitors infrared light from objects in their field of view and activates a signal when motion is detected, making it ideal for applications such as automatic switching on of devices or lights.
The PIR motion sensor has a low profile of 10.9 mm, thanks to which it saves space and has a power consumption in standby mode of up to 170 uA. It consists of a lens for creating different detection zones, an optical filter for blocking non-red light, pyroelectric sensing elements, electromagnetic shielding, and an impedance converter. The sensor offers a digital output in 32 zones at a detection distance of 5 m with a 90x90 ° detection area.
The module communicates via the I2C interface and is equipped with a Qwiic connector. Full documentation with examples of use is available on the product page.
