Kit for self-assembly of a robotic arm with four degrees of freedom (4DOF). The manipulator is based on servos and is wirelessly controlled. It is an interesting and easy-to-use set for learning to control a robotic arm.
The structure of the manupulator is made of 3 mm thick acrylic plates. The arm movement is triggered by four SG90 servos. The arm at the end has a small gripper, which allows you to catch and carry small items.
A board compatible with Arduino Uno R3 and a universal expansion module, which can control not only servos, but also DC motors, stepper motors and encoders, are responsible for controlling the servos, which gives great possibilities for expanding the project.
The user can control with the included wireless controller, PS2 controller or IR remote (PS2 controller and IR remote are not included). Due to the use of an Arduino board, the arm can be programmed in the popular Arduino IDE environment. The set can also be placed on a mobile platform and constitute the frame of a mobile inspection vehicle.
