The step-down converter's minimum input voltage is the sum of the Drop-out voltage and the output voltage (3.3V), while the maximum input voltage is 36V, maintaining a current output of up to 500 mA. For input voltages exceeding 20V, it is recommended to solder a 33uF / 50V capacitor between VIN and GND to protect the circuit from voltage spikes. The typical efficiency of the system ranges from 85% to 93%. The leads can be connected using standard 2.54mm gold pins, allowing for easy integration with a breadboard, wire connections, or placement on a dedicated PCB.
