Development board with STM32H725AE microcontroller dedicated to applications combining image processing with artificial intelligence. The STM32H725AE is a high-performance 32-bit microcontroller with an ARM Cortex-M7 core with an operating frequency of 550 MHz. In addition, the Wio Lite AI Single Board has 8MB PSRAM, a memory controller, 16MB SPI NOR Flash for the operating system, as well as a micro SD card slot for additional memory. It also has wireless connectivity with dual-band WiFi 2.4GHz/5GHz and Bluetooth 5.1.
The Wio Lite AI Single Board has I/O microcontroller leads for expansion, including 6 analog pins and 14 digital pins. There are UART, I2C, SPI, CAN and SWDIO interfaces for programming the module. The board can be powered with 5 V via a USB Type-C connector. For machine vision tasks, the board has a 24-pin FPC connector for a DCMI camera and a 40-pin FPC connector for LCD displays with RGB565 or RGB888. In addition, it has an additional 12-pin audio jack.

For programming, STMicroelectronics provides the STM32Cube.AI module, an advanced toolkit capable of working with popular deep learning libraries. It allows converting any artificial neural network for Wio Lite AI to run optimized machine inference. Seeed provides an Arduino development environment for Wio Lite AI to make it easy to get started and help beginners quickly learn how to use the microcontroller and machine vision and apply it to real production environments.
