Adapter with micro SD card slot and connector for WIZ820io or WIZ850io Ethernet modules dedicated to Teensy boards. It can work with Teensy LC, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.5 and 3.6 versions and combine the capabilities of ARM-core microcontrollers and LAN communications based on W5200 and W5500 chips.
The Teensy module is soldered to internal pads on the board and attached to the underside using two 14-pin goldpin connectors. The Ethernet module uses external pads and two 6-pin connectors. The user can also use goldpin sockets if he anticipates frequent module removal in his design.
The Ethernet module requires a chip reset signal for proper operation. The WIZ850io version can operate without a reset, but older WIZ820io modules necessarily require a reset. The adapter has a built-in CAT811T chip for automatic reset when the power is turned on. However, after uploading a new program, the WIZ820io may remain in its previous state, depending on where the previous program was stopped. Pin 9 should be used to manually trigger the reset pulse for best compatibility with the WIZ820io and W5200 chips.
In addition, pull-up resistors have been placed on the adapter at pins 4, 9 and 10 to make the SD card and WIZ820io/WIZ850io unresponsive to other SPI communication.
