A compact board with eight 12-bit DACs that allow precise voltage control on each output via I2C communication. Compatible with 3.3V or 5V, it offers flexibility with a reference voltage setting and STEMMA QT or Qwiic connectors for easy integration with other I2C devices. Adafruit 6223
Adafruit DAC7578 Breakout is a compact board that fulfills the dreams of anyone who needs eight 12-bit DACs in one package. With this chip, you can precisely control the voltage on each of the eight outputs via I2C communication. This makes it an ideal solution for applications that require multiple DAC channels, such as generating analog signals or fine-tuning voltages in test circuits.
The DAC7578 is compatible with a 3.3V or 5V power supply, making it widely usable with various microcontrollers and computers. Additionally, the chip is ratiometric, meaning the output range of the 12-bit DAC spans from 0 to the reference voltage (Vref). By default, Vref is connected to the supply voltage, but it can be set to any value between 0 and the supply voltage, offering great flexibility in design.
The board has a connector compatible with the STEMMA QT or Qwiic system, making it easy to connect with other I2C sensors and devices. This allows you to easily build more complex circuits that require communication between multiple devices via a single I2C bus.
