A module with a 24-bit differential ADC NAU7802 optimized for reading strain gauges in a Wheatstone bridge configuration. It offers high precision force or mass measurements. Thanks to the I2C interface, ready-made libraries and screw connectors, it is easy to integrate, especially in mobile and DIY projects. Adafruit 4538
The Adafruit NAU7802 module features a 24-bit differential ADC designed specifically for measuring small voltage changes generated by force, pressure, or weight sensors. With built-in amplification and calibration circuitry, the module ensures high measurement accuracy with minimal configuration effort. Connecting sensors is straightforward – the included four screw terminals make it easy to connect 4-wire sensors. The E− and E+ outputs provide excitation voltage for a strain gauge bridge, while A− and A+ receive the differential signal from the sensor. Thanks to the highly sensitive ADC, even the slightest resistance changes in the sensor are converted into readable data. The module communicates via the I2C interface and is compatible with Arduino and CircuitPython libraries, making it an excellent choice for both hobbyists and professionals. Note that the module has a fixed I2C address – if you need to read from multiple modules simultaneously, a multiplexer is recommended. This compact and lightweight measurement solution is perfect for mobile applications, scales, test equipment, and DIY projects.
