Description

The device ADC 16-bit ADS1115 4-channel with PGA breakout by Soldered provides analog-to-digital conversion with a resolution of 16 bits. The onboard ADS1115 offers four inputs operating in single-ended configuration or two differential channels. The module can be used to extend the analog measurement capabilities of development boards and microcontrollers, including data acquisition systems and circuits using analog sensors.

Communication with a microcontroller is handled via the I2C bus. The ADS1115 supports four hardware-selectable I2C addresses, allowing multiple converters to operate on the same bus. The module also features a Qwiic connector for solderless connection to compatible controller boards.

The built-in programmable gain amplifier (PGA) allows the converter's measurement range to be adjusted to the amplitude of the input signal. Available full-scale ranges extend from ±6.144V to ±0.256V. The ADS1115 supports conversion rates of up to 860 samples per second, allowing precise measurement of slowly and moderately changing analog signals.

The board operates from a 3.3V or 5V supply and measures 22 × 22mm. The manufacturer provides an Arduino library with examples, Arduino library documentation, and open-source hardware files for integration into custom projects.
