Dual-channel brushed DC motor controller with TTL and RS-232 serial interface enabling speed and direction control of two motors at 6–24 V supply voltage with up to 12 A continuous current per channel (30 A peak), designed for robotics, automation, and microcontroller-based projects. Pololu 2078
Pololu Qik 2s15v9 is a high-current motor controller designed for controlling two brushed DC motors using serial communication. The module enables smooth speed regulation and direction control of motors, making it suitable for mobile robots, autonomous vehicles, manipulators, and automation or mechatronics projects.
Control is performed through a TTL serial or RS-232 interface, allowing easy integration with microcontrollers as well as computers equipped with a serial port. The controller supports automatic baud rate detection in the range from 1200 to 115200 bps and also offers several fixed communication speeds. The board uses two VNH5019 motor driver ICs and can deliver up to 12 A of continuous current per channel, with peak currents up to 30 A. The operating voltage range from 6 V to 24 V allows compatibility with a wide range of motors commonly used in robotics and automation systems.
The controller includes configurable acceleration control, motor current monitoring, and current limiting. Integrated status LEDs provide visual feedback for power, communication, and motor activity, simplifying diagnostics during system setup. Additional safety features include reverse voltage protection and optional automatic motor shutdown in case of communication errors or timeouts.
