ATmega1284P Xplained is a functional evaluation platform for the ATmega1284P microcontroller, equipped with a set of interactive and sensory components. It enables rapid development and testing of embedded applications, including user interfaces, analog measurements, and serial communication.
Description
The ATmega1284P Xplained evaluation kit contains an AVR ATmega1284P microcontroller and a range of demonstration components that enable testing and prototyping of applications utilizing the microcontroller’s features. The board integrates an Atmel QTouch touch button, three mechanical buttons, four LEDs, and three analog sensors, including a temperature and light sensor. Communication with a computer is provided via a UART–USB bridge based on the AT32UC3B1256 chip. Functional extensions are made possible through AVR Xplained expansion connectors, providing access to the microcontroller’s analog and digital lines. Power is supplied via a USB cable, and a standard 10-pin JTAG connector is available for debugging. The board also includes solder pads for mounting external memory.
