TPS62823DLC – Synchronous step-down converter 3A, 5.5V

Description

The TPS62823DLC wide-range step-down converter from Texas Instruments provides voltage regulation from 0.6 V to 4 V with an input voltage of 2.4 V to 5.5 V. The maximum output current is 3 A, and overall system efficiency remains high even at low loads by switching between PWM and PSM (power save mode) modes. The device utilizes a DCS-Control topology, which ensures fast response to load changes and minimal output voltage ripple.

Integrated protection features, such as soft-start, thermal protection, short-circuit HICCUP, and active output discharge, enhance the converter's operational reliability. A PG (Power Good) output enables monitoring of the output voltage status. Thanks to its compact 2.0 x 1.5 mm VQFN package, the TPS62823DLC is suitable for applications requiring high component density.
