

The sensor allows detecting objects at a distance of 10 to 80 cm. The output is an analog signal, the value of which depends on the distance between the detected object and the sensor. The closer the object is, the higher the output voltage.
A simple example of the GP2Y0A41SK0F sensor operation (measured distance is from 4 to 30 cm):
