Crowtail – Encoder 2.0 is a digital rotary encoder with 20 pulses per revolution and a dual-channel output for measuring angle and rotation direction. Used in control projects, interfaces, and axial motion detection systems.
The Crowtail – Encoder 2.0 module is an incremental rotary encoder that generates pulse signals corresponding to the rotation of the shaft. It has two signal outputs – A and B – allowing determination of the direction (clockwise or counterclockwise) and angle of rotation. Each full rotation generates 20 pulses. Unlike rotary potentiometers, the encoder has no physical rotation limit, and the output signal is digital. The module is used in user interfaces, motor control, navigation systems, and educational projects involving microcontrollers.

This set of two quadrature encoders for 20D extended-shaft motors provides precise rotational speed monitoring with 20 pulses per motor revolution. The devices utilize magnetic disc and Hall-effect sensors operating from 2.7-18V, and the digital outputs can be connected directly to a microcontroller. The encoders mount directly to the back of the motor, and the compact design and 6-pin JST PH connectors facilitate integration into robotic projects and control systems. Pololu 5661
