Description
eBUS Adapter Shield C6 is a communication interface designed for the integration of devices using the eBUS bus, commonly applied in heating, ventilation, and solar system installations. The module provides a secure connection to the 2-wire bus thanks to full galvanic isolation, while not drawing power directly from the eBUS line, in compliance with eBUS class 0 specification requirements. The design is based on the ESP32-C6 chip with a built-in Wi-Fi antenna, enabling convenient wireless communication and easy integration with smart home and building automation systems. The device is an evolution of previous eBUS adapter versions and has been enhanced with a range of improvements increasing reliability and functionality. The module offers a built-in USB-C connection, Wi-Fi communication, and the ability to connect directly to Raspberry Pi. Additionally, the device supports external Ethernet modules, allowing flexible adaptation of communication methods to the requirements of a specific installation.
eBUS Adapter Shield C6 has been optimized for compatibility with ebusd software, providing full support for the extended communication protocol. The interface enables the use of micro-ebusd functionality, allowing advanced control and monitoring scenarios for heating systems. The built-in web interface allows convenient device configuration and firmware updates without the need for additional software. As a result, the adapter can be quickly deployed by both home users and professional installers.
The device design includes eFuse protection, safeguarding the circuit against overvoltage and excessive current draw. The adapter also allows measurement of its own power consumption when powered with 5 V, enabling more precise system monitoring.
