FRDM-KE06Z is a starter kit from the Freedom Development Platform designed for the development and prototyping of applications based on Kinetis KE06 microcontrollers from NXP Semiconductors. The board is intended for systems operating at a 5V supply voltage, which simplifies integration with existing industrial and automotive systems.
The kit is based on the MKE06Z128VLK4 microcontroller with an Arm Cortex-M0+ core, offering a clock frequency of up to 48 MHz, 128 kB of Flash memory, and 16 kB of RAM. On-board communication interfaces include CAN and IrDA, enabling testing of control applications, industrial communication, and automation systems.
FRDM-KE06Z features user interface elements such as push buttons, an RGB LED, a 3-axis MEMS accelerometer, and a temperature sensor. The integrated OpenSDA debug interface allows programming and debugging without external tools. The standard mechanical form factor of the Freedom platform and Arduino Rev3 compatible I/O headers facilitate expansion with additional modules and expansion boards.
