FRDM-K22F is a starter kit from the Freedom Development Platform designed for the development and prototyping of applications based on Kinetis K22 microcontrollers from NXP Semiconductors. The board is intended for use in embedded systems projects, communication applications, education and rapid prototyping of embedded solutions.
The platform is based on the MK22FN512VLH12 microcontroller with an Arm Cortex-M4 core, offering a clock frequency of up to 120 MHz, 512 kB of Flash memory and 128 kB of RAM. The microcontroller supports USB operation in device/host mode without the need for an external crystal, simplifying the design of USB applications.
FRDM-K22F features an integrated OpenSDAv2.1 debug interface, enabling programming and debugging without external tools. The standard mechanical form factor of the Freedom platform and the Arduino Rev3 compatible pin layout allow easy expansion with additional modules and expansion boards.
The new revision of the FRDM-K22F kit is equipped with USB Type-C connectors, providing improved mechanical durability and compatibility with current USB connection standards.
