Ozone (O₃) sensor breakout featuring an MQ131 sensing element, an analog AO output and a digital DO output. An onboard potentiometer allows adjustment of the digital output threshold. The module operates from a 5V supply and can be used in ozone monitoring projects and systems working with ozone generators. Soldered 333110
The device MQ131 from Soldered is an ozone sensor breakout designed to detect the presence of ozone (O₃) in the air. Its semiconductor sensing element changes resistance when exposed to gas, allowing changes in ozone levels to be monitored. The module can be used in ozone monitoring projects and systems working with ozone generators.
The analog AO output provides a voltage that varies with the detected gas level and can be read through a microcontroller's analog input. The digital DO output indicates when the threshold set using the onboard potentiometer has been exceeded. This allows the controller to track changes in the sensor signal or respond when the set threshold is crossed.

The manufacturer provides an Arduino library with reading and calibration examples. Before taking measurements, the sensor requires preheating and calibration according to the documentation. Converting the output voltage into ozone concentration requires the response characteristics of the appropriate sensor variant, and the resulting readings are approximate. The board operates from a 5V supply and features two mounting holes for secure installation.
