Description

Industrial cellular router designed for direct integration of devices and machines using CAN/CAN FD buses with IP networks, without requiring an external converter. Teltonika RUT204 supports 4G LTE Cat 4 with download speeds up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds up to 50 Mbps, as well as 3G and 2G networks. Two internal Mini SIM slots support automatic switching between SIM cards in cases including weak signal, roaming, no network or data connection failure. The router also provides WiFi 4 802.11b/g/n with support for up to 50 clients, two 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, CAN and RS232 interfaces, a GNSS receiver and an internal microSD slot supporting cards up to 2 TB. The CAN Gateway function allows CAN frames to be forwarded over IP networks, while local storage on a memory card enables the device to be used for machine data logging.

The OpenWrt-based RutOS operating system provides routing, load balancing, firewall, VLAN, VPN, Hotspot 2.0 and support for industrial and IoT protocols including Modbus RTU over RS232, DNP3, DLMS/COSEM, OPC UA, BACnet and MQTT. GNSS with GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS support enables device or vehicle location tracking, while Teltonika RMS provides remote configuration, diagnostics, VPN access and fleet management. The router can be powered from 9-57 VDC or via PoE In 802.3af, while the aluminium housing and operating temperature range from -40°C to 75°C support deployment in industrial automation, machinery, vehicles, telemetry systems and distributed installations requiring CAN data transmission over cellular or Ethernet networks.
