Description

Industrial cellular router designed to provide global LTE, Ethernet and WiFi connectivity in automation, telemetry, IoT systems and distributed industrial infrastructure. Teltonika RUT986 uses a Telit 4G LTE Cat 4 modem and supports data transmission with download speeds up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds up to 50 Mbps, as well as 3G and 2G networks. Two Mini SIM slots and eSIM support enable the use of different operators and automatic connection switching in cases such as weak signal, roaming, network loss or data connection failure. The router provides WiFi 4 802.11b/g/n, one WAN port and three 10/100 Mbps LAN ports, while WAN Failover and load balancing help maintain communication continuity in installations requiring constant network access.

RS232 and RS485 interfaces, a USB 2.0 port, GNSS receiver, internal microSD slot and an extensive set of inputs and outputs enable integration of controllers, meters, sensors and other industrial devices. GNSS supports GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS, as well as NMEA 0183, NTRIP and geofencing functions. RutOS provides routing, firewall, VLAN, VPN and support for Modbus RTU/TCP, DNP3, DLMS/COSEM, OPC UA, BACnet and MQTT, while Teltonika RMS enables centralised router management and monitoring. 9-30 VDC power supply and passive PoE on the LAN1 port, combined with the aluminium enclosure and operating temperature range from -40°C to 65°C, support use in industrial automation, energy systems, smart city infrastructure, telemetry, transport and remote equipment supervision. The RUT986 is designed for global LTE Cat 4 deployments in demanding industrial environments.
