Description

Board with the Artemis system, the GNSS ZOE-M8Q module, the Iridium 9603N satellite receiver and the TE MS8607 pressure, humidity and temperature sensor. It allows you to send and receive short messages with data, and using the Iridium satellite network, it works anywhere in the world, including the polar regions, far beyond the range of WiFi and GSM networks.

The heart of the board is the Artemis module compatible with Arduino. It comes with 1MB of flash memory and 384KB of RAM and has a Qwiic connector, so you can easily connect external I2C sensors. In addition, the I2C and SPI pins were led out along with five digital I / O and five GPIO pins. The ZOE-M8Q enables AGT to quickly and accurately determine the location with minimal power consumption. The ZOE and Iridium modem share one antenna, and the AGT has a switching circuit for selecting which device uses the attached antenna. The built-in pressure, humidity and temperature sensor of the MS8607 operates in temperatures down to -40 ° C and 10 mbar, making it ideal for use in harsh environments.

The module is powered by a USB type C connector, a LiPo battery or an external battery pack. Has a built-in LiPo charger. The user can also add additional supercapacitors and configure the AGT current consumption so that the Artemis Global Tracker can be powered directly from the very small solar panel. Full documentation with examples of use is available on the product page.

Attention!
The Iridium modem requires a monthly service to exchange information with the Iridium satellite network, which must be purchased from Ground Control (also known as Rock Seven) via the admin portal after devices are registered. If you want to use it with another provider, you will have to pay an unlock fee.
