Lark Weather Station is a comprehensive solution for accurately collecting atmospheric data, facilitating the measurement and recording of key weather elements such as wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure. The station supports real-time communication and is compatible with popular controllers like micro:bit, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and Unihiker. It features built-in data storage, a compact size for easy storage, and a universal tripod interface, making it an ideal tool for teachers, students, and meteorology researchers.
The Earth's atmosphere is a dynamic and complex system influenced by many factors. Understanding its patterns requires precise detection and recording of wind speed, wind direction, temperature, humidity, and pressure. Traditional weather stations often require the integration of multiple sensors and complex wiring, which can be time-consuming and challenging for educators and students. Lark Weather Station is a mobile weather station that eliminates these difficulties, offering simplicity and high functionality. It allows simultaneous, precise monitoring of five main atmospheric parameters, providing comprehensive and accurate weather tracking with direct data output in physical units for ease of understanding and use. Supported communication interfaces include UART and I2C.
Lark Weather Station works with controllers like micro:bit, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and Unihiker, enabling data processing and logical actions, such as closing windows or predicting the weather. It can also be connected to the Gravity: Science Data Acquisition module for direct real-time data readings.
The Lark Weather Station has 16 MB of internal memory, capable of storing data for 160 days with a recording interval of one minute. Data export is available via a USB Type-C interface. The kit is easy to transport and store, and the detachable direction vane facilitates portability. It can be placed on a desk during classes or carried during field explorations. The station has a standard 1/4-inch port for mounting on tripods of various sizes, adapting to different educational scenarios. Lark Weather Station features a waterproof protective coating on the board for increased weather resistance. The housing is made of metal, providing durability and robustness. Note: Avoid exposing the Type-C and Gravity ports to water when used outdoors to prevent damage.
