Description
PIR Stick is a compact motion sensor based on passive infrared (PIR) technology, designed specifically for Tiny FX projects. It enables easy and reliable triggering of lighting effects or animations when motion is detected within its field of view. The sensor responds to changes in thermal radiation emitted by people and other warm objects, making it ideal for interactive installations. Upon detecting motion, it generates a simple digital signal that can be read by a microcontroller. The PIR Stick features a dedicated connector that allows direct, solder-free connection to Tiny FX.
An onboard potentiometer allows precise adjustment of the sensor sensitivity, making it easy to tailor its operation to a specific application. Its small size makes the module easy to integrate into finished projects or enclosures. Thanks to its low power consumption, it is well suited for battery-powered installations. The sensor can also be used with various microcontrollers, making it a versatile solution. A wide field of view and a detection range of several meters enable effective motion detection indoors. It is an ideal choice for presence-reactive effects, interactive decorations, and DIY projects.
