The optimal distance between the sensor and the ground is about 3 mm. The output signal is an analog signal.

KAmodQTR8A is a module with eight photointerrupter sensors KTIR0711S. It allows to detect edge or line. Thanks to the analog outputs, is possible to connect a module to the e.g. comparator. The module can be used in analisze of the floor e.g. by Linefollower vehicles.
This module can be applied to intellectual robot, obstacle avoidance car, counter device in the pipeline, black and white lines tracking device. This infrared sensor contains two parts: an infrared transmitter and an infrared receiver.
