A laser scanner that uses triangulation radar technology to create a 2D map and detect obstacles. The sensor performs measurements at a frequency of 2300 Hz, which allows 360° scanning at a frequency of 6 Hz. It has a range of up to 8 m, and the measurement accuracy is up to 5 mm. The sensor communicates via the UART interface (or USB via the attached adapter) and is powered with the voltage of 5 V. The built-in motor ensures long-term and failure-free operation, and the refined optical design effectively protects against strong interference from the ambient light. Its small dimensions make it ideal for use in SLAM algorithms, for determining the position of the robot in space, creating maps of the terrain in which it is located, detecting objects and planning the robot's route. Full documentation with examples of use is available on the product page.
