Development board in Feather format equipped with AW-CU488. The module has an integrated low power WiFi wireless communication controller (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) Realtek RTL8721DM. It consists of a dual-core processor: Real-M300 CPU (ARMv8-M, Cortex-M33) and Real-M200 (ARMv8-M, Cortex-M23) and allows Thing Plus to connect to the cloud.
The board is equipped with a USB type C connector for programming and power supply, as well as two reset and start buttons. The user has a 2-pin JST connector and a MCP73831 single-cell LiPo charging system (set to default with 500 mA). The voltage is regulated with the XC6222 3.3V / 700mA voltage stabilizer. There are three LEDs for power status, charging and status. Due to the module size, the board is slightly longer than the standard Thing Plus base, making several GPIO pins in total (30 interrupts, seven analog, 11 PWM, two UART, two SPI and one I2C) available. The board also includes a built-in audio codec with two-channel analog inputs and outputs with different sampling rates. There are five jumpers on the back of the board for LiPo charging speed, LED, boot mode, and USB shielding. Additional sensors can be connected by the user via the Qwiic connector and the I2C interface.
