Development kit with nRF9160 microcontroller with ARM Cortex M33 core. The chip has a built-in 1 MB Flash memory, 256 KB RAM and a radio module that can support CAT M1 LTE and NB-IoT cellular communication. On the board, there are SPI, I2C, UART, I2S interfaces, PWM outputs and an ADC converter. In addition, the module has 4 MB of external Flash SPI memory and a JST-PH connector and a LiPo battery charger, thanks to which the set can become a portable device.
The board can be powered by a USB type C connector. It has a JTAG connector for programming the nRF9160 system and a Qwiic socket for connecting additional sensors. There is a SIM card slot at the bottom of the board. The user also has a button and two connectors for connecting an external antenna.
