IEEE 802.11ah WiFi HaLow radio card in the M.2 2230 E-Key form factor, based on the Morse Micro MM8108 chipset and designed for industrial systems and IoT applications. It operates in the 850-950 MHz band, provides data rates up to 43.3 Mbps and transmit power up to +26 dBm, while communication with the host computer is handled through USB 2.0. Gateworks GW16167
The GW16167 card uses the Morse Micro MM8108 chipset and supports the IEEE 802.11ah WiFi HaLow standard, designed for long-range communication and low-power operation in IoT applications. Operation in the 850-950 MHz band improves signal propagation through walls, buildings and foliage compared with standard 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WiFi networks. The module supports channel widths of 1, 2, 4 and 8 MHz, data rates up to 43.3 Mbps and transmit power up to +26 dBm. Access Point and Station modes are supported, together with OPEN, WPA2-PSK AES, WPA3-OWE and WPA3-SAE security mechanisms.
The M.2 2230 E-Key form factor and USB 2.0 interface allow integration with Gateworks industrial single-board computers, including Venice, VeniceFLEX and Catalina platforms. The standard Linux IP networking stack enables the use of common networking tools, interfaces and communication mechanisms without dedicated application protocols. The MMCX antenna connector allows an external antenna to be connected, while the operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C supports use in industrial systems and devices operating in demanding environmental conditions.
