The Wio RP2040 module is an advanced Wi-Fi system designed for IoT projects. Equipped with the powerful Raspberry Pi RP2040 processor and ESP8285 Wi-Fi chip, it ensures stable wireless connectivity, supporting 802.11 b/g/n standards with speeds up to 72.2 Mbps. This makes the module an excellent choice for IoT applications, offering both AP and Station modes.
It features a dual-core microcontroller with a clock speed of up to 133 MHz, 264KB of SRAM, and 2MB of Flash memory. The module is compatible with popular programming environments such as C/C++ and MicroPython. Additionally, it supports the Thonny code editor, enabling easy transformation of Raspberry Pi Pico-based projects into IoT projects with just a few lines of code.

With its compact dimensions and SMT package form, the module can be easily soldered onto PCB boards, making integration into various applications straightforward. It offers a wide range of interfaces, including 32 GPIO pins (20 of which support PIO and PWM), 2 UART, 4 ADC, 2 SPI, and 2 I2C interfaces. Thanks to multiplexing capabilities, some pins can perform multiple functions, increasing the number of available interfaces.
The Wio RP2040 is fully compatible with the Thonny editor, meaning users don’t need advanced electronics engineering knowledge to control hardware components. The simple MicroPython language allows full use of the module’s capabilities, making it an ideal solution for rapid prototyping and deploying IoT projects.
