The board is equipped with the RP2040 microcontroller designed by the Raspberry Pi foundation. The system has two ARM Cortex M0+ cores operating at a frequency of 133 MHz and 264 KB of RAM. The microcontroller is not equipped with flash memory, but on the board there is an external memory with a capacity of 2 MB connected via the QSPI interface.
RP2040 has been closed in the form of a certified module with the ESP8285 system, which allows communication in the WiFi network. All the I/O pins of the RP2040 microcontroller are led out on both sides of the board. It offers numerous interfaces, including 28 GPIO pins (19 pins supports PIO and PWM), 2 x UART, 4 x ADC, 2 x SPI, 2 x I2C as well as a user LED and a USB Type-C connector for power supply and module programming.
The development board is fully compatible with the Thonna code editor, which allows you to control devices using the MicroPython language. Besides, Pplatforma supports popular C/C++ programming languages. Thanks to its small dimensions and WiFi communication, it will be perfect for IoT projects.
