Azure Sphere MT3620 is a development kit designed to support rapid prototyping and knowledge of Azure Sphere technology. The MT3620 is the first Azure Sphere certified microcontroller to have three cores: one ARM Cortex-A7 core and two ARM Cortex-M4F cores. It is designed to support real-time requirements when connecting to various peripherals using GPIO, UART, I2C, SPI, I2S, PWM and ADC. It has a built-in security subsystem with its own dedicated CM4F core ensuring safe system operation, as well as dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The kit has a pre-installed operating system designed to work with Azure Sphere Security Service. It is programmed using the Microsoft Visual Studio environment and the dedicated Azure Sphere SDK.

Microsoft Azure Sphere is a high-level application platform with built-in communication and security features for internet-connected devices. It includes the MCU, a high-level custom Linux (OS) based operating system, and a cloud-based security service. The Azure Sphere microcontroller integrates real-time processing capabilities with the bootability of the operating system. Together with the operating system and application platform, it enables the creation of secure internet-connected devices that can be updated, controlled, monitored and maintained remotely.
