Single-board Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) platform operating in the frequency range from 70 MHz to 6 GHz. It allows you to get started with GNU Radio and prototype your own GSM base station with OpenBTS. Digilent 6002-410-024
The USRP B210 provides a fully integrated, single-board Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) platform operating in the frequency range from 70 MHz to 6 GHz. Designed for experimentation, the device combines a direct conversion AD9361 RFIC transceiver capable of up to 56 MHz real-time bandwidth, an open and programmable Spartan-6 FPGA platform, and high-speed SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connectivity. Full support for the USRP Hardware Driver™ (UHD) software allows quick integration with GNU Radio, prototyping of your own GSM base station using OpenBTS, and seamless code migration from the USRP B210 to more powerful, industry-ready USRP platforms.
The device enables experiments with the USRP B210 across a wide range of applications, including FM and TV broadcasting, cellular telephony, GPS, WiFi, ISM, and more. It is designed using the Analog Devices AD9361, a single-chip direct conversion transceiver capable of streaming up to 56 MHz of RF bandwidth in real time. The B210 utilizes both signal chains of the AD9361, enabling consistent MIMO capabilities. Built-in signal processing and AD9361 control are handled by a Spartan-6 XC6SLX150 FPGA connected to a host computer via SuperSpeed USB 3.0. USRP B210 real-time throughput has been tested at a quadrature rate of 61.44 MS/s, delivering a full 56 MHz instantaneous RF bandwidth to the host computer for further processing using GNU Radio or UHD API-based applications.
