Description

The Wio Helium Monitor is a plug-and-play LongFi hotspot monitor for the Helium network. It allows you to determine whether a device is connected to the local area network (LAN) and whether it has access to the Internet. With Grove-Wio-E5 and an activated Watchium Silver/Gold subscription, you can also check that LoRaWAN communication with the hotspot (including Witness) is working correctly. If there are problems with Internet/LAN communication, it will report the problem via LoRaWAN, while other hotspots in the vicinity will be able to communicate with it.

The monitor reports information locally and remotely using the Watchium app. A free Watchium account is sufficient to monitor the LAN/Internet connection. The Silver (1HNT) / Gold (3HNT) version is required for additional LoRaWan options.

The Wio Terminal is an ATSAMD51-based development kit with wireless connectivity supported by the Realtek RTL8720DN. The processor runs at 120 MHz (up to 200 MHz) and has 4 MB of Flash memory. The Realtek RTL8720DN chip supports both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, providing communication for IoT projects. The Wio Terminal is equipped with a 2.4-inch LCD screen, built-in IMU (LIS3DHTR), microphone, buzzer, microSD card slot, light sensor and infrared (IR 940nm) emitter. In addition, it also has two multi-function Grove ports and a 40-pin GPIO connector compatible with Raspberry Pi.
