The CAN-Ethernet Converter is an advanced solution for industrial applications, enabling the integration of CAN-bus networks with Ethernet. The Industrial Server with Dual CAN Channels, RS485, and Ethernet Port facilitates communication between CAN devices and a network server, significantly extending the range and performance of the system. With built-in dual CAN channels, one Ethernet port, and TCP/IP stack, it allows efficient connection and communication between the CAN-bus network and Ethernet.
The metal enclosure with industrial design supports wall mounting, is compact, and easy to install, making this converter an ideal choice for applications such as building automation, industrial automation, and energy monitoring. The device operates on a DC power supply ranging from 5 to 36 V and offers low operating current (average 26mA at 36V, 56mA at 12V, and 124mA at 5V). It includes surge protection. The RJ45 Ethernet port supports speeds of 10/100Mbps and Auto-MDI/MDIX function, providing 1.5KV electromagnetic isolation. The RS485 serial port supports data rates from 600 bps to 115.2 kbps, and the CAN speed ranges from 10 kbps to 1 Mbps. The converter offers CAN Basic and Loopback operating modes and provides power and signal isolation protection. Supported network protocols include IPV4, TCP/UDP, and configuration is done via web interface or AT commands through the network/serial port.
The CAN-Ethernet Converter supports up to 4 TCP channels and offers TCP Server, TCP Client, and UDP modes, providing transparent CAN data transmission compliant with CAN 2.0B specification. Additional features include CAN repeater, CAN ID filtering, heartbeat packets, and registration packets, enabling identification of the data source device or obtaining server authorization. It is widely applicable in solutions such as charging stations, which extend management range, support CAN repeater functions, and monitor the status of each station in real-time, as well as building control devices designed to withstand harsh external conditions due to industrial-standard design.
