The stepper motor driver with the MP6500 system allows the bipolar motor to be supplied with current up to 1.5 A per phase, without the use of a heat sink. The system can be supplied with voltage in the range 4.5 ... 35 V. Pololu 2966
This driver can be used to build a 3D printer or CNC milling machine based on stepper motors. The system used in the controller (MP6500) enables work in the following modes: full step, 1/2 step, 1/4 step and 1/8 step. The mode selection is made by changing the MS1 and MS2 pin states. The controller operates in the 4.5..35 V voltage range and 1.5 A current per phase. The module enables the control of the current limit via a built-in potentiometer (the possibility of increasing the current limit to 2.5 A). It has a number of protections that protect the system from damage. It also has outputs in accordance with the modules based on the A4988 layout, which is why it can act as a substitute. It can work in systems with 3.3 V and 5 V logic.
The module has no soldered goldpin connectors, it is necessary to solder it yourself (goldpin connector is included with the controller).
