USB Camera Module 8MP OS08A10 M12 Low-Light 4K - Waveshare 32640

Description

The Waveshare 32640 camera module is designed for applications requiring high image resolution and very good performance in low-light conditions. The integrated OS08A10 sensor with 8 MP resolution and a large 1/1.8-inch optical format enables detailed image capture under limited lighting, reducing noise and preserving image clarity.

The camera is equipped with an M12 (S-mount) lens with a fixed focal length of 4.2 mm and a bright F1.6 aperture, which increases the amount of light reaching the sensor. A built-in 650 nm IR filter improves color reproduction under daylight conditions. The module uses a rolling shutter mechanism, suitable for typical video and monitoring applications.

Communication is handled via USB 2.0, allowing Plug & Play operation without the need for driver installation. Supported MJPG and YUY2 image formats provide flexibility in configuring capture and recording parameters.

The module is suitable for vision systems, monitoring, industrial automation, robotics, AI systems, and projects requiring high image quality in low-light environments.
