USB-UART converter based on the CH340 IC with a USB-C connector for communication between a computer and devices equipped with a UART serial interface. A switch selects 3.3V or 5V on the VCC pin, while PWR, RXD, and TXD LEDs indicate power and data activity. Hardware flow control pins provide additional serial communication options. Soldered 333028
The device USB-UART CH340 Converter Board by Soldered uses the CH340 IC for bidirectional conversion between a computer USB interface and the UART serial interface of a target device. The USB-C connector provides data communication and board power. The converter can be used for programming compatible microcontrollers and modules, accessing serial consoles, diagnostics, and exchanging data with embedded systems.
Basic connection to a target device uses the RXD, TXD, VCC, and GND pins. The board also provides CTS, RTS, DTR, DSR, and DCD hardware flow control signals for more advanced UART connections. The RXD and TXD lines should be cross-connected to the corresponding lines of the target device.
The board receives 5V power from the USB port. An onboard switch selects 3.3V or 5V on the VCC pin. The manufacturer specifies a 3.3V UART signal logic level. Additional 3V3 and 5V pins provide access to the corresponding supply voltages.
LED indicators show power status and activity on the RXD and TXD lines. Board dimensions are 38 × 22mm. Header pin holes have a diameter of 1.5mm, while the 3.2mm mounting holes are designed for M3 screws.
