Description
Module with ToF distance sensor based on the VL6180X system. It uses FlightSense™ technology that allows you to measure the absolute distance regardless of the color and surface of the detected object. The sensor can measure the distance of objects 10 cm away, it also offers the ability to detect gestures. On the board, apart from the sensor, there is a 2.8 V stabilizer and a voltage level converter. VL6180 communicates via the I2C interface, and the user has at his disposal a friendly and easy-to-use API (Application Programming Interface) available in C language and the Arduino library. It can be used in applications to detect the presence of objects and obstacles in both industrial robots and mobile structures. The shape of the plate has been designed so that the module is compatible with popular Sharp sensors. Full documentation with examples of use is available on the product page.
