The Crowtail-SIM808-GPRS-GSM+GPS-V1.1 module combines GSM/GPRS wireless communication functions and GPS localization in a single board. Thanks to support for AT commands and standard connectors, it is used in mobile projects, GPS tracking and remote data transmission.
The Crowtail-SIM808-GPRS-GSM+GPS-V1.1 module based on the SIM808 chip from SIMCom combines GSM/GPRS communication functions and a GPS receiver in a compact form. It supports quad-band GSM transmission (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and A-GPS technology, enabling satellite localization, sending SMS messages, data transmission and voice functions. The built-in Crowtail connector simplifies integration with development boards. The module requires an external microcontroller with UART (e.g. Arduino) to operate, and the micro USB port is used exclusively for charging a 3.7 V lithium-polymer battery. The board includes LED indicators for power and network connection, and uFL sockets for external GSM and GPS antennas. Additionally, the module is equipped with a standard Micro SIM slot and a TRRS headphone jack for voice communication.
Advanced 4G LTE CAT4 modem with GNSS function, supporting GPS, Beidou and GLONASS, ideal for localization and communication applications. With support for multiple LTE, WCDMA and GSM bands and UART and USB interfaces, the module is compatible with platforms such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino or LattePanda. It enables data transmission, voice calls and SMS messages, and also supports TCP/IP, HTTPS and FTP network protocols, making it a versatile solution for IoT projects, vehicle tracking and security systems.
