A sensitive sensor of the magnetic field, operating in the range of ± 50 microtesels, which generates a rectangular signal proportional to the strength of the field, which facilitates its integration with microcontrollers. It is distinguished by high temperature stability and tenderness, which makes it ideal for precise magnetic field measurements in applications requiring reliability. Sparkfun Sen-25531
The FG-3+ sensor is a highly sensitive magnetic field sensor from the FGM-X series, operating within a range of ±50 microteslas (±0.5 oersted). This simple device with three terminals is powered by a 5V source and outputs a 5V square wave signal. The period of this signal is directly proportional to the magnetic field strength, making it easy to integrate with computers or microcontrollers. The output frequency ranges from 8.5 μs to 25 μs (~120 kHz to ~50 kHz), indicating the sensor's high sensitivity.
Unlike Hall-effect-based magnetic field sensors, which are sensitive to temperature changes, the FGM series sensors feature a very low temperature coefficient. With a Nyquist sampling rate of approximately 50 kHz, proper filtering allows for handling magnetic field bandwidths from DC to around 20 kHz. The FG-3+ is ideal for precise magnetic field measurements, especially in applications requiring temperature stability and high sensitivity.
